88n/a Z31 16bit ECU, Type 1 Board, Stock Z31 MAF.
The stock MAF can do around 350whp. People have rescaled them somehow in order to make 450whp. The stock MAF is said to operate in a voltage range of 1.5-6.5V. What is the proper way to do this? Just change the values on the MAF translation table? And then what should be done to compensate for this? Thanks in advance

Are you going off the end of the fuel/timing maps? In a datalog you will see what the max tp scale the ecu is calculatiing under heavy or maximum load/rpm. Make sure your largest tp scale value is larger than that. In that same datalog you will see what cell is being accessed by the maf. As long as you're not at the end of the maf table you are not exceeding the maf airflow capability.

Re: Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power
I rescaled the TP load scales on the top of the fuel and timing maps and I am not going outside of it even on 20psi. I understand the need to rescale that part. I believe I am maxing out the stock MAF though. I am in the 6V+ region. Is the stock MAF really calibrated from 1.5-6.5V? Do you rescale it in that same range or can you just tell it to send a larger voltage than 6.5 to continue sending a signal above and beyond when it maxes out?

Re: Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power
I looked at some old datalog pulls I did on about 18-19psi on my 62mm turbo. MAF voltage is hitting as high as 7.1V!!! And the TP Load Index only hits a peak of around 100 and its scaled to 120. Which is perfect since I plan on pushing around 24psi soon. I am running around 22 degrees timing minimum throughout the pull. I didnt realize how much it changes under boost until I datalogged it. I am running E85 on 8.3:1 compression but I feel like this might be too much timing. And I am not a fan of how much it changes under boost! As it reaches redline, it moves down in the load Index and advances the timing alot. I know this is typical to do when tuning but I run 22-23 degrees around 5000rpm and then it goes up to 28-30 at redline around 6500rpm.
Am I ok at this MAF voltage? Should I rescale it?

At 7.1vdc which cell is being accessed in the maf table?Bernardd wrote: As long as you're not at the end of the maf table you are not exceeding the maf airflow capability.

Re: Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power
Can I find this answer form my datalog or do I have to try and visually see this(live time) under boost?

Datalog will work.
