Tomei Reytec Ecu and Nistune?

Post by Nismo »

I have a RB26dett Tomei Reytec ECU sitting around and was wondering what peoples opinions were on using this with nistune?
This is basicaly the Tomei version of the power fc d-jetro howeve there is not a huge following in it.
What are chances I am able to connect it up with nistune and will work? there is no daughterboard inside the ecu and it looks like its just using an eprom chip and it is meant to be programable.

If its designed like the PowerFC then it won't be compatible with Nistune as a PowerFC is a specifically engineered product to fit into the OEM casing and OEM harness, and with a quick google, the TOMEI thing looks to be similar with its own specific interface kit. It must retain full consult protcols to be compatible anyways, and even PowerFC removes consult function so looks like it would be a no go.

You would need to use their own custom software since its effectively another aftermarket ECU
