we couldnt even get a ROM image out to make an address file for it
These are the boards which can reprogram H8/534 etc for R33 and daughterboards to use with those ECUs with emulators. Pricey and difficult to install though :(

What's the problem in using R32 ECU anyway? Those are easily available and work really well, just a few wires to swap. You need a wire for TPS idle switch, and consult clock is missing too.. Consult is easy to fix by swapping the "check" signal to clock pin.

Even the multifunction display works correctly, except that it only shows 0-50% for throttle position.. :) Seems to go fast enough with "half the throttle", though. :)

One must not always the easiest way to go ;)

I have two R32 GTR and two R33 GTR and one R34 GTR ECU ;)

If it is simple scrambling with some address/data lines swapped, you can build your own "unscrambler" which simply switches the lines back to where they belong. Not very easy but can be done. :)

Those are not scrambed, but they have some special code on the chip so only a special BIN works with the board

Use this ROM image in the Type 6 folder in the ROM image pack
ECR33_RB25DET_21U01_MECR521_daughterboard.BIN

maybe worth to purchase one of these modified BNR34 ecu's and see what they did to it:

http://page21.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/j98394825
http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m77450551

or contact the KSROM guy(s) : ksrom (at) jttk.zaq.ne.jp
http://www.jttk.zaq.ne.jp/ksrom/nissan.htm#rb26dett

they seem to be able to modify the BNR34 ECU and disable the immobilizer (code)

would be interested in having a look just more out of curiosity more than making anything (given my unfinished boards still sitting here...)

Hi Fuzzy,

Like you can see here : http://my350z.com/forum/tuning/510891-t ... ashes.html
TECHNOSQUARE is "closed" and I can't find other dealers... maybe have you got one ? or do you sell your board ?

Is it possible you send me your board ? I will dump the xilinx software by the JTAG port (I think it's the connector 2 on your board) and make another one (of course I will share all my work and I can pay and give you a caution...), I know I ask a lot however you are my last solution even if I buy a NIStune 2 board.

Thanks a lot.

Xilinx have a locking mechanism. This makes it very difficult to dump the macrocells and use that to create another JED for programming a blank Xilinx. For example we use the locking on our Xilinx to prevent readback/copying

If I try to read the chip and if it's lock, will it be corrupted ? (like some protections for CD/DVD game) or Will I just have an ecrypted dump file ?

Thanks for all
