J30 VG30E Maxima updates

Post by Matt »

Some problems reported over the last week have been fixed up in 0.9.2.69

http://www.nistune.com/secret_squirrel/ ... _setup.exe

* MAF voltage not reporting correctly
- Verified correct consult MAF address was used. Halved raw valaue from ECU and checks out fine against multimeter in 0 - 5 volt range

* TPS does not change
- Incorrect consult register address read. Added override inside Nistune to report correct TPS address. Checked against TPS potentiometer on bench and readings now match

* Consult Timing incorrect / Timing map incorrect
- Consult reporting was inverted, and there should be a 40 degree offset in the address file. With TPS IDLE = OFF and valid temperature (80 degrees C) the timing values now match the timing map. Can someone please verify idle timing since it doesnt seem to work on the bench (adjust 'Timing Adv' or 'Idle gear timing' and see if they make any difference @ 80 degrees C)

- Other timing maps have no offset so should be set to 0 in the address file

* Error message when modifying
"You are attempting to modify an address outside the range for the specifyed ECU"
- Software error introduced several months ago when introducing correct size files for all ECUs. Corrected to use 32K ROM instead of incorrect 16K previously in software

* Error message when syncing
"invalid ECU rom Access! ADDR:FFE0 LEN:09 Check correct address file loaded"
- Address window for map changes in maxima ECU inside the Type 1 board blocks reads/writes to critical parts of the ECU code. The window was too small. When the Knock 3x3 tables were added to the address file they landed outside this area. These tables arent really used during tuning, so removed these entries from the address file. Increased size of read/write window for future revisions
