E85 Ca18det some questions from a new tuner...

Post by Flavius424 »

Hey everybody !

I new on the tuner world and I have some question about my ca18det tune...

Setup :

rebuild ca18det
s14a t28 @ 0.5/0.6bar for the moment^^
s14 afm
680cc injector
e85

You can see my attached map and a log.
It run good, approximatively 230hp and 275nm torque.
But I think the maps is not perfect, I run too lean before 4000rpm, but how it's possible to run good in this area on WOT and not too rich in constant speed in the same area ?
I tried to play with the timing map, but I haven't success to have more horse power... with more or less timing... no significative change...

If you can take a look on my map, I thank you ! :D

Ps : sorry for my bad english, I'm French^^

Not used to tune for e-85 so I can't help you much on that arear...

Though the torque value seems a bit low no ?

No problem, thanks for your message.

Yes, I think, I can have more torque, but I don't know how tune it...

you can see the PerfExpert run : (not a real dyno but realist)

for the boost you're running at the moment it does not seem that bad at all, though with a bit more timing, since you're running E85, I believe you can get a little bit more.
torque will really improve when you up the boost to 1bar, allthough you might try to make it go to 1.1bar and then maintain 1bar up untill the redline
but someone more knowledgeable will come to say something I think =)
