We have type-1 board installed in s13 ca18det and we want to put it into rb20 ecu to run rb25det engine. Do we need base image programmer or something special to make it working?

Yes boards need reprogramming when moving to another ECU with the base image programmer. Type 2 board required for RB20 ECU (however a Type 1 board can do it)
