Re: Nistune Formal Release 1.0

Post by Matt »

Nistune is still non-unicode at this stage. I moved most of the code across to unicode but never completely finished it. All the input files I believe needed to be unicode (address and wideband) so it never completed

Could you please export your current registry folder from Regedit and email that directly through to me. I'll put that one my PC here and try that out.

For this version, there is a new folder Registry Key used for the installer (which is saved by Nistune in 1.2.7 but is not actually loaded by the software). In the meantime revert back to 1.2.6

TRANSLATION_FILE_REV2 key is the one which is used and should point to your translation file. For example:
C:\Users\Matt\Documents\Nistune\translation\translation_english_ansi.ini

If this path is wrong there will be an error with loading it (and all text will be displayed as 'undef' like your screenshot shows). The crash would be related to an 'undef' string perhaps displaying bad information

Try reloading 1.2.6 version and let me know if still a problem with that version. I don't know the cause for exact problem yet. I don't think that source language should be an issue for loading the file which appears to be the current error

Emailed about the VS2010 installer. Looks like an internal windows error. Included some links

Okay so 1.2.6 is good then. I'll look at the registry entries here

No only needed the Nistune key (not the whole registry). Think I found the problem. Emailed details
