Can i use the type 4 board on a rb25de (neo) ecu but later convert to a det (neo) motor and still use the de ecu or will i be better to get a det ecu?

The RB25DE ECU does not take a daughter board. It uses those Hitachi ECUs which have H8 chips and do not easily take a board

Grab a RB25DET ECU and you can use it with the RB25DE. I've just had confirmation from a tuner last week that it also works with the NEO RB25DE automatric tip-tronic transmissions :D
