made 632 whp but leaning out

Post by that guy »

I dynoed my red, 1990 nissan 240sx, s13 ,ka24de, borg warner 74mm inducer, 1.00 rear housing. s372 turbo bosch 2000cc injectors, vmp hpx pmas, at 27lbs i made 529ish 400 lb ft torque, but besides the numbers i could'nt richen up my fuel map. Guess my k is off i will send you a log. it runs pretty really good like this though on a blow through setup. maybe my latency. On injector dynamics website they give you multiple voltafes to work with which should i use?

matt will confirm this but Im sure the mapping guide says 14 Volts.
thats is impressive power. any chance you could upload the BIN so I could have a look.

Your max tp appears to 41 during that pull while your map is setup for over double that. The pw commanded is fairly close to the actual pw so that's good but you're only using over half of the available duty cycle. Lots of room to richen up the mixture. You also have the timing map set with feedback flag at high load. That said you have 33deg's of timing at highest load level achieved. This is assuming that second binfile you posted was used for the dyno test and the first post contains the logfile of the dyno run. Nistune is not letting you down, it's doing exactly what you've programmed it to do.

First off setup your fuel and timing maps to reflect the scaling you need for more resolution. You can increase fuel by using a larger k value, increasing the pw in the fuel map or by increasing values in the vq table. Take note when changing the timing maps to ensure you have the same timing in your last column in the binfile as what you ran in your datalog. If you are using the knock sensing successfully then by all means keep the knock flag activated otherwise remove it. And make sure you have the same pulsewidth commanded in the last column of your fuel map in the new binfile. I would save the old binfile to a new name and make changes so as not to lose the existing info you have. Good luck and keep us posted.

Kinda what Bernard wrote :D

Change your fuel and timing load scaling 2...94 is too much. Make it shorter 2..80 since that is about the maximum TP you are reaching in that log file I'm seeing

However before you do that adjust your injection multiplier and use that to make it richer up the top, pull back the bottom of your map to make it leaner if needed

I am tempted to pull your fuel map back to stock, increase the top end of your map for more fuel and use the multiplier to make it run richer than what it is and work from there. That map is a bit chopped up at the moment

From what I have see in your "start up good with a twist.bin"
I see 680 in your Injection Latency
Is that too low for your Bosch 2000 ?
