Re: Idle problem

Hi there, try to check if you have avialable conditional warmup ignition timing table and conditions for it, this is common at ca18det for example.... The only timing tables I have listed are: Dwell time, Dwell duty, crank advance, Idle/decel RPM timing, and Timing Advance The crank advance and tim...

Idle problem

I am running a 1984 300zx with a VG30 NA. It makes 223 HP at the wheels and runs great once I get it warmed up and out of idle. All the air controls have been removed. The engine is 3.1 liter stroked engine with 12:1 compression ratio. I run it on 93 octane pump gas. The car is strictly a track and ...

AEM Log analysis software

I want to use Nistune and Innovate lm1 and lm3 to log various inputs while autoXing.
Once I am done I would like to analyze them using AEM Log. Both use .CVS files.
Anyone tried this?

Interesting. Where was this "splice"? I have a plan of attack, but thats not on list. There are three plugs that plug into the ECU. They join into the main cable less than a foot from the ECU. Take the black tape wrap off the outside of the wire bundle. I think the wires were green with a...

I had an issue with the fuel pump not priming in a Z I had just gotten. The PO had pulled all kinds of stuff off in an effort to get the car to run again. Turns out, after I got all his other issues solved, the pump would prime then it wouldn't. I checked the wiring harness just above the ECU. There...

I did an Max ECU and it does work. The one I used was out of an 88 Max #A18-696-E89
It has to have a certain chip in it to work
Bennard is more up on this than me. Check out this thread, post #http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=10495

We used it in an 88 Z31 and used a Z adr file

I am not after the MAP system because I am out of room. I am not running a turbo. I just need to get a better intake to allow my NA to take in more air naturally

Re: Increasing Z32 Diameter

Guys I have heard about puting the Z32 MAF into a bigger body. Could someone explain how this is done and how do you tune for it please? If you are talking about a "hacked maf" (taking the maf element/wire/controller and placing it in a larger pipe) it's not needed with nistune. One would...

Re: Issues with loading 16K and 32K .bin files.

Okay, I may be doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out if so. I'm loading the specific .adr file that Matt sent me via email first, then selecting the .bin file to load into NIStune. However, anytime I open a 32K .bin it appears like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/FlawleZ/NIS...

What are the steps to do that? Do you turn off all the flags, reset the cells and then turn them on? Or can you use the raw values and change only the cells?
Thanks.

According to the Z31 FSM: "When any of the following conditions are met, fuel injection shifts to simultaneous injection from group injection.

*Engine speed is more that 3,000rpm.
*Injection pulse duration is more than 6.5ms
*Cylinder head temperature is below 60 degrees C (140 F)

The ECU doesn't doesn't have any effect on the base timing. You set your timing to 20 degrees because that is what the ECU expects and bases its timing map on that setting. If you are using an ECU from a year other than your car, the base setting may be different than the stock setting. I.E. 15 degr...

Matt, That would be fine if the subject was of interest to everyone, but what I want to be able to find are little bits of information that help me with some specific part of NisTune. On Z31 performance when you open up a topic, at the top left side of the thread are several options. One of them is ...
