Re: Z32 ECU knock control explained

Do other Nissan ECU's (type 4 in my case, s14a UK) knock control work in the same way?

Re: Brad Barnhills Virtual Dyno

I only recently started playing with this again and got it working, although was a chore having to edit the logs while fiddling with other map stuff, mega thanks for supporting Nistune! Il return the favour with a donation once I'v had another proper play. http://i795.photobucket.com/albums/yy233/21...

Re: Trying to setup Uego with DLP, advice needed, vid inside

Everything you said seems to check out on mine, it's the AEM Uego causing the noise. I have been using serial reliably with the AEM but still want to fix analogue to cut down on the amount of cables I have hardwired under the gear gaiter. I accidently realized this when I switch my gauges off, the d...

Brad Barnhills Virtual Dyno

I have been trying and struggling with a few virtual dyno's. I couldn't get VDR working due to the difference in time input format, dataloglab cost a fair bit and doesn't seem to graph AFR alongside boost and power. Brad's Virtual Dyno seems a nice liitle program that's easy to use with no need for ...

Re: Boost control problem

It's something I wasn't expecting to happen after reading through the boost control threads. I have attached my map and log above.

Re: Boost control problem

Thanks for the replys, it's a shame I can't get this to work. I looked at the speed limit tables, all 3 are in warp territory so I guess it's none of them. What do bit 1, bit 2, and bit 3 in the feedback switch flags do? I also forgot to mention, only the far right load colum (240) is ever being acc...

Re: Boost control problem

I think you misunderstood me With the MBC I set it to peak at 17psi and then boost tails off to around 14psi by the redline so that is fine. With, MBC removed and the solanoid fitted to block, and boost map set to zero I cannot get past actuator pressure in 4th or 5th which is currently set to aroun...

Re: Boost control problem

What turbo and what boost? You may find that it's just not capable of delivering what you want at high load/rpm?? PL stock t28, peaking 17psi (with ball and spring), Forge adjustable actuator with 14psi blue spring set to roughly 13psi, usual HD stage 1a bolt on mods (if your familiar with them) I ...

Re: Boost control problem

Iv read through the two main boost control threads, one of which had Chris doing some good testing. At no point did anyone including Chris and PL mention anything about having this problem. Im wandering is having 7psi in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear then the solanoid raising it to 10psi for 4th and 5th an ...

Boost control problem

I am using the stock solanoid to control boost on my S14a. It works fine in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear however on 4th and 5th it bleeds regardless of what is set in the boost maps meaning I cannot reach my target boost, I guess this is down to the stock setup of bleeding off in the last 2 gears. How can...

Re: Boost control using OEM ECU for S14/S14a SR20

I have a strange result, first of all my setup. Thin pipe under throttle body too T-Piece, Actuator-T-Piece, Side/top solanoid to T-Piece, Front of solanoid to intake trunk. No restrictors. Forge adjustable actuator with 1 bar spring, set roughly 13-14psi. Stock T28 trying to run 17 psi, S14a. Wierd...

Re: Load scale advice please

Iv not done any tuning yet, only logs to see what TP im hitting and yes tp limit has been removed/maxed so iv not had to disable the 02 yet. What I mean is on the stock map at at say for example at 112 load and 4800 RPM it will access 9.55 cell (target a/f) However on my rescaled load on the fuel ma...

Load scale advice please

As per tuning guide I am trying to adjust the load scales before I play with the fuel and timing maps, I have done some logs at desired boost which is around 17-18psi on my S14a, usual HD 1a mods with SS manifold and 99 octane but stock injectors and MAF. Max TP used is around 135 but I want a littl...
