why would you want a consult port with CA18DET ?!
if you have a Type1 board on the ECU, connect it via USB to your laptop with Nistune and you can get pretty much every info you need to adjust whatever it needs to be adjusted...

sweet ride !
it's always good to see an older car being rebuilt and having a refresh.
how's the car handling, engine wise ?

I think that on the last released version Matt was able to "correct" that feature for some boards... not sure wich ones though...

It's still not possible, yet, to go beyond 8000rpm with Nistune, if I'm not mistaken.

I was about to ask if you're really burning the changes to the ECU or just loading them...

Re: R34 tuning - How much does an air filter affect things??
Now that's a curious thing to read on... Quite "weird" at the same time, though after reading the results and values kind of makes some sence... I'm not too fond of K&N air filters due to the fact that some of them come from factory a bit too much oiled wich in turn gets into the AFM f...

Re: CA18DET ECU Boost control
I'm yet to see it done with a CA18DET...
all I've seen is with an "external" manual/electronica boost controller...
the Gizzmo ones seem to be pretty good for the money, but there are others available.

the timing seems very conservative... have you tried upping it a bit?

Re: Hitting fuel cut?
IIRC Nistune had a few issues regarding the 8000 rpm limit not being 100% right yet... perhaps you can try and run an rpm limit of 7800rpm, re-scale and go from there. as for the maf... I'm talking based on the log... it passes 5volts way too fast, and if I'm not mistaken that's the voltage that ind...

Re: Hitting fuel cut?
Well... I'm no expert.. but from what I saw on the log, the maf seems to be pretty maxed out since it goes to over 5 Volts right after 5500rpm. Then, if you're doing 8000rpm, I believe you should adjust the RPM scales, both fuel and timing, because they only go to 7000rpm, and like so you're loosing...

Re: Tuned ROM images here!
I see you're still using the stock turbo and injectors... if I were you I would stick the stock AFM in place and work from scratch after having the board fitted so you can get the hang of it and notice what changes change what. plus, the stock afm and injectors will max out pretty much at the same t...
