Running without closed loop

My S13 KA24DE runs in open loop cruising with a fairly stable ~14.xx AFR; however, once I enable closed loop the AFRs do the whole rich/lean dance and fluctuate AFRs inversely to the O2's voltage from about 15.5 to 13.9 AFR. I have read this is for proper operation of a catalytic converter and is no...

I also have a KA24DE and checked out your bin...
Are you actually running this as it appears?

Re: Closed loop at idle

Hmm so it's not just me!

After digging through the FSM for the KA24DE it looks like idle is in fact OPEN loop.
Pretty odd but I guess that is the way it's done. My engine is stock with factory tune and it runs like this.
Would a rich idle then mean an issue with the tune? K adjustment?

Re: Closed loop at idle

Changing the idle cells does change AFR but it still doesn't want to hold onto closed loop there for some reason... hmm

Closed loop at idle

Noticed an issue with closed loop at idle today with a stock S13 KA24DE, stock bin, 53F01. I'm emulating the factory NB02 with an LC-1 and it's working fine in closed loop while cruising. O2 voltage in Nistune fluctuates between ~.2 -.95v as you'd expect, with stoich AFRs being reported. Once coming...

Trouble connecting to LC-1

Hi all, Just got Nistune and the WB02 installed and am trying to configure everything for the first time. For some reason I'm unable to get the LC-1 to show up in Nistune. Logworks and LM Programmer work and I can program both units via usb/serial adapter (in my case com7). I believe I have Nistune ...
