I know that GRomer copies a lot of chip-solutions from Nissans and other brands! He sells e.g. copies of Horsham Chips for the S14 and S14a (I know of Stage 1, 2, 3 and 3a) with minor quality! Take only a look on his ebay feedbacks what he sells... I know from someone how contacts me that his engine...

Thanks for quick fix! Now I don't get the error message about the translation file anymore and I can read, which question NIStune asks me. :D It asks me if I want to merge my readed bin with a base-bin because some maps are not ok in it. After the merge and saving the bin the question do not come an...

Thank you very much for the new release. I installed it (with the new adress files of course) and when I start NIStune there are 2 error messages and when I try to open a bin I where asked a question where I do not see what question it is. :D NIStune itself looks very well at the moment, no problems...

I haven't try it with NIStune yet but I use NissanDataScan 1.4. This is the last free version of it. There is a button where you can fix the timing at 15°. Then you can use a timing gun to check if the 15° that the ECU see is 15° in reality. You can use the same data cable as for NIStune. Here is an...

A few weeks ago I have asked the same question for my SR20DET. Perhaps the answers are okay for your ECU too.

Ah, thanks. I will look if I can mount the additional sensor in the near area to the original one. Here is an engine knock calculator which says that the 86mm pistons from the SR20DET will produce a knock signal at a frequenzy of 6.7 kHz: http://www.phormula.co.uk/KnockCalculator.aspx Does this mean...

Just an update: The solution works pretty good. The most difficult thing is to find a good place for the knock sensor without having too much noise from the head. For my test drive I bolt the sensor onto the intake. Sample Sound: Engine_Sound_S14a_SR20DET_Test1.zip http://forum.nistune.com/files/img...
