Because I enjoy asking and then finding the answer before anyone answers haha... I found out the erratic scrolling of numbers I'm seeing is typical of a incorrect calibration. Makes sense. I thought it was possible there was 'interference' in the signal. Anyway, I have yet to recalibrate the sensor ...

Update. In the last day I was able to finally get some readings from the WB. However, the issue I am now having is, both Logworks and NIStune are seeing erratic AFR Values, which roll at a rapid pace from 0 to 20.9 and back. This sequence never stops. Can someone please tell me what this is symptoma...

This is very much out of left field, but can you, or have you already verified your Idle Air Control Valve is working properly? I've had a few crap out on me.

Does it do it only with engine running? How long does it take before you get that error? Engine on or off - same. Error happens as soon as I try to connect to Logworks. I've tried both with auto-connect on COM4, and manual connect. I've heard of various combinations working. I might try starting th...

Is that with the LogWorks software you are getting this message? I just want to make sure you are having these issues in logworks software first and then if you get it all working with that then try Nistune afterwards I would be contacting innovate firstly regarding error you see due to LC-1 and Lo...

NO LUCK! Not even direct with serial connection.

This LC-1 is pissing me off. I have power going to a 'switched' 12V. I have the heater and system grounds grounded. I have the terminator plug firmly seated in the IN port of the LC-1 Lambda cable. I have tried 2 Serial to USB converters, and failing that, used an older laptop to attempt a direct se...

To answer my own question regarding connectivity issues with the LC-1. I have been reading that not all Serial to USB cables are created equal - some work some don't. Innovate uses a serial connector because it is less volatile to electrical spikes than USB. The problem for the modern day laptop own...

Can anyone verify which 'Ground' wires from the LC-1 get grounded? I assumed it's both: Blue Heater Ground and White System Ground, but I want to make sure. Having some connectivity issues still. Using a serial to USB converter. Converter shows up properly in devices on COM4 and Nistune sees it ther...

Thanks. I really appreciate your input. It's kind of like standing in a dirty room and deciding where to begin cleaning it. Figuring out what my priorities are for a fresh tune, and where I should be focused.
This helps nudge me in the right direction. Cheers.

How would you tune my car?

This post is partly because I am new to tuning, and partly because the documentation I've been reading relates mostly to turbo charged vehicles. Allow me to quickly run down the status of my car. It's a 1992 Nissan Maxima with a VE30DE DOHC engine with variable timing control. I had my ECU fitted wi...

It was cool of him to do a basic run through.

Mine was a little more self-indulgent. I was so happy when I first made the connection to NIStune I made a video 'teaser' for my local Nissan Maxima owners club.

autotune just adjusts your maps based on wideband feedback until it reaches what has been set in the fuel map you still have to tell it the AFRs. it doesnt do a tune for you That's a shame Matt. I can't drive to Australia to get you to tune for me, so I suggest you update the autotune feature with ...

Thanks Kenbam, that helps clarify some things for me. While I have you can you tell me more about the NIStune autotuning? I still haven't spent much time with the software itself, and didn't even realize it was an option. On my pre OBD-II ecu I spent much of my time just getting a a consult fabricat...
