Re: Tablets and Nistune

I run the nistune on a Tablet.. it is a toshiba encore..

Its pretty good just the touch points are too small so you need a stylus.. much faster to use a laptop though if you are going to tune..

Re: Pics - How to spot a Z32 AFM copy

After a while of playing with the Z32 copies, I've come across another Jecs with the serial 4460A as pictured here and had the fake issue, but are the most real looking I have seen but havent cut it open.. Similar findings that the AFM hits 5V at around 300hp and is really rich in the middle.. you c...

Re: DIY - SM-AFR USB Cable

the SM-AFR in the photo is like the one that I have in my car, it has narrow and wideband outputs tx and rx and thats about it.. only way to nistune it previously was to use the DLP board..

I am use to the DLP board the and look up table ? and wiring the two togethter ?

Re: low power at 80 deg

just interesting that it is disabled in the feedback switches and all the flags are turned off and it is still doing it to me.. maybe the only thing left is the resistor ?

Re: low power at 80 deg

looking @3625rpm... engine temp 78 degrees.. under acceleration.. timing 23 degrees

map trace 29 / 27
30 / 29

27 is in dark grey.. knock maps are the same as normal maps.. any ideas ?

Re: low power at 80 deg

slowly tracing down the points of knock.. basically they are only noticeable on very hot days.. and when it pulls timing it really pulls timing.. the odd thing is that the map trace does not seem to match the maps.. ?

I have heard of earlier versions having this issue or am i missing something ?

Re: low power at 80 deg

went for a drive work tonight the feedback flag is on but the knock flags in the maps disabled.. the car drives a little better by pulling the degree out but it is cold outside so the temps would be favorable it seems to still be coming off in the light cruise between 2 and 3k during gear change.. w...

Re: low power at 80 deg

finally got the nistune in the car and logged and looking at the tune in the log and comparing it on the map it seems to go to 19deg timing although the maps are telling it to to be in the high 28- 30 degrees.. the interesting is that all the flags for knock sensing are turned off... I have wired an...

Re: Can someone help me set up a base tune?

my old celica that ran 40mm DCOE loved the timing.. and so does my mates charger.. loves it use to pull 35 - 38 degrees of timing.. and wonderful rich.. was the most powerful 1600 I ever drove.. if you were to use the CA maps.. use old injector = 260 new = 210.. see what K it gives you..
