Re: Nistune Overrun

Hello all,

does anyone knows what the few parameters are for, eg. Aysnc Q Factor, Temp Factor and Throttle Factors?

I am trying to adjust the way throttle tip in to avoid a jerk when the injectors restart.
This is more prone during low speed stop and go situations in city traffic at 1-2.8k rpm.

Nistune Overrun

Hello guys, need a little help with the Type 1 Nistune. Is there a way to adjust the overrun fuelling for the tune? Been trying to get the car to transition smoothly from a deceleration to pushing down on the accelerator to get feeling to resume. So far AFRs restart at 18s-17 to 15s but not without ...

Re: Low Battery ECU voltage

Hello guys, so I jumped the egi or eccs relay for the S13 CA engine. Got 14.2V to the ECU on Nistune. Tested 3 relays, 1 brand new too. All clicks when tested with a car battery. Just not sure why it doesn't engage when it is back in the relay socket. Car will start but down to 12V. Anyone got any i...

Low Battery ECU voltage

Hi guys, Got a CA18DET S13 that ran with 13.6 to 13.8V for batt. But recently, it has been showing 11.8V for a long time. Swapped in 2 alternators and rebuilt one but not affecting the readings either. Now with car running, multimeter to battery shows 13.8V. However, nistune shows 11.8V. I also noti...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

- K constant (adjust TP) and base fuel schedule (calculated from MAF / RPM) this is at 255, with the change in larger MAF (r35) and larger injectors (r35 as well). - Min load TP (minimum base fuel schedule) Been adjusting this from 800 - 1200 -1600 -2000 -2400 -2800 Values currently at 160 to 155 to...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

HI Matt, noted... looks like I have to redo the entire map since the deceleration/TPS on fueling is too lean and I cannot just adjust Min TP or the Injector Latency at all. Is there another field that perhaps I am missing out in the software which I could use? It just the deceleration in gear that i...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

If I were to raise my Injector Latency from 880ms to 900ms, would that affect the fueling tables? Or just at idle? I have tried to play around and raised it to 950, but it idled way too rich. Map is pretty much solid except for the lack of deceleration load which I am trying to solve. TIM, I guess w...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Hi Matt, haven't gotten the new AFR gauge linked up to the nistune yet. Will work on this soon. I have been trying to adjust the injector latency slightly more to see if it helps with the issue. Seems like the load off throttle when the car is decelerating is too light, jerks when it resumes fueling...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Thanks Matt, really appreciate your time to be on the forum and replying to us. I am still struggling with finding a way to get the ecu to resume fueling or to catch the idle drop off throttle earlier due to the lighten flywheel which makes revs drop fast. Acceleration is fine. Increasing min tp loa...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Alright... :|

How about the Idle/Deceleration tables?
Would it make a difference if I advance or retard the timing values?

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Hi guys, is there a table that I can use in the Type 1 ECU to adjust the speed at which the engine decelerates? I notice there is an idle/deceleration timing table but I am not sure if it will work when the TPS is ON. Would increasing deceleration timing per cell increase the engine brake? I tried t...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Thanks Matt. There seems to be no way to change the settings on this too despite playing around with the Fuel Cut/ Fuel Recovery tables.

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Now I am aware that the fueling on these things has a fuel cut when the engine is decelerating with no throttle input. I have read that the fueling comes back in at 900 RPM. That seems awfully low. I dont know if that value is accurate. If I can adjust this value there is a pretty good chance I coul...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Hey Matt and whoever is reading this, after much reading on engines and fuel cut, I realise the dragging issue in deceleration was caused by insufficient fuel. So I tried to raise the TP min while decelerating downhill as suggested by a fellow Nistune user Louis :) Got the higher end of the rpm rang...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

Hi Matt noted. In short I still can't get a log with AFR values in it. Tables for fuel cut/recovery have no impact on deceleration when I change them to max rpms. Timing table for deceleration does work. Will try to get a driver for the wide band to work again. Meantime, I will try to raise Min TP t...
