Re: Boost gauge compatible with nistune

Matt wrote:No probs. Using one of these is definitely a good option, that way you have all your inputs in the one place and its very high speed compared to the UEGO 9600bps output
Ya im excited to get it! Should be here tomorrow, I will try to document my process for anyone else who stumbles on this thread!

Re: Boost gauge compatible with nistune

Yes that is correct, select the UEGO/boost option I'm not sure on how that unit connects to the laptop. After doing some more reading up on the DLP devices I believe I need one for it to read boost, plus i can just have my AFRs and boost all through one usb vs a USB and serial. I went ahead and ord...

Re: Boost gauge compatible with nistune

Ya unfortunately the documentation just says to connect it to your data logging equipment, it doesnt say how or anything. You cant hook up the Failsafe gauge the same way you do the uego its missing a data wire (blue in the uego). I have it hooked up via usb right now, if i run the boost wire throug...

Re: Boost gauge compatible with nistune

Motorola sensor is analog 0-5 output. DLP/LM-2 converts to USB When you say DLP/LM-2 are you just talking about a RS232 to usb converter? Do you happen to know what pin on the serial wire i would use for the signal? ? I have an AEM failsafe gauge so I should be able to use the boost output signal f...

Re: Boost gauge compatible with nistune

Is that 0-5v analog or serial? I assume serial but want to be sure

Boost gauge compatible with nistune

s14 ka24de auto ecu

I have been going round and round with this, I need a boost controller that i can get a reading from in nistune for tuning purposes. What boost gauge can I go buy to interface with nistune?

Re: s14 ka-t base tune help please?

Ok I never posted back because i figured out my issue. It was a combination of my injector latency not up high enough and a slight coolant leak. Doh! I am going to go back and read through some of the manuals again but my current issue is it going rich under just normal acceleration. Under boost its...

Re: s14 ka-t base tune help please?

Ok big update, car is finally on the up and up. Running good under boost and at cruise but after driving for a bit my idle starts to get jacked up. A lot of the time it will get rich in the 11-12 range, it seems like the hotter i get, the richer it gets. Example: Driving to work this morning, not re...

Re: Wideband AEM Failsafe 30-4900 connection

Awesome thanks for posting this!! Quick question, are you able to record your boost in nistune with this? My AFR's are registering but not the boost, any suggestions?

Re: s14 ka-t base tune help please?

I adjusted my latency and my idle is much better, no more surging. I had to crank the latency way up from like 720 to 1070. Now my idle is pretty rich at like 12 afr, i tried adjusting KConstant to fix this but after adjusting latency the Kconstant seems to do nothing. I believe the iacv was up out ...

ECU: 23710-70F05 REV:13(U) is what it says up at the top. I am going to try adjusting latency now

Re: s14 ka-t base tune help please?

So you are still running standard firmware at the moment I believe (23710-70F00 showing as part# in top screen panel) If your idle is crap, then adjust your injection latency if the rest of your AFRs are good (from having K constant at the right value) If you are flooding on cranking then definatel...

Re: s14 ka-t base tune help please?

Ok not sure if anyone is still checking this thread but this is where i am. Took my timing covers all off and discovered the bottom chain was off a tooth causing all kinds of dumb shit. Fixed that, distributor is finally right. On stock injectors and z32 maf the car runs pretty good and boosts about...

Re: s14 ka-t base tune help please?

My FTS/FTL graphs were always at 0% already, I just didnt know where they were lol. My surging idle came back to timing. The gears that the distributor go into (idler gear) were off one tooth, I moved the idler over one tooth but kept the distance between the links for the cams and crank the same. I...
