Re: S14 SR20DET holding on to closed loop??!?!?!

Was upto looking at this same parameter on my R34 and finished FP1 code for S14 KA24DE. Once my hand has healed can continue on this one Sounds good :) Ive been hesitant to try this on my own, but am hoping this value actually DOES something; It would be nice to finally be able to use a O2 sensor u...

Re: Setting Injection Multiplier

Hi Matt. I'm from Russia, so I will use google translator, I hope it will be clear what I write. I'm interested in the question, after replacing the injectors through the menu, you need to be considered "K Constant" ?. This is described in paragraph 4 How do you know the timing of the inj...

Re: A couple basic z31 questions.

I have a couple questions: First: I have a 1987 z31 na2t w/ a 1987 na computer w/ the 1987 base image. Should base timing be set at 15` btdc or 20` btdc? Car calls for 20` but in the nistune handbook it says 15` for most cars and in consult with it at operating temp it's showing 15` when trying to ...

Re: MTX-L AFR reading in nistune different from the gauge ?

That is a bit interesting, does it show proper AFR if you connect it using the LOGWORKS software that comes with the wideband? Have you tried putting the sensor up to the exhaust and see if the AFR's match? I have a MTX-L as well and have no problems with the AFRs matching most of the time. I occasi...

Re: S14 SR20DET holding on to closed loop??!?!?!

Matt I was looking in Nistune today in expert mode (seeing what options it has) for my S14 KA24DE and i noticed the final injection constant hiding in the software like you said. If this value is changed, will it affect the tune as it sits now? Or do you have to do some additional fixes? https://far...

Re: Rb25 neo wont start after maf and injector change

Did you have Nistune modify the cranking tables during the injector resize? Those can result in a no-start if they are injecting too much fuel.

Re: Nistune Formal Release 1.0

Okay, so I would need to pull the nistune board, and put it in a Base Image Programmer Board, and then burn the new ENT file to it? Im wondering about this too. I wouldnt be able to do something like that by myself, and cant afford the downtime to ship it to someone that can. I assumed that the &qu...

Re: TP not getting read with engine running?

Usually if the MAF fails, the car will go into limp mode, and also, you would not be able to dial in the K since the ECU will be freaking out and running very rich. Other questions: - What version of Nistune are you running? - How was the car feeling when you got on it? Did you take logs of this TP ...

Re: EGT issue

From what ive seen on different maps, timing is supposed to stop increasing when you reach peak torque and remain constant. Otherwise you end up with overly retarded timing, and high EGTs. In my case, my map starts off in the single digits under low rpm/full boost, and slowly increases to 18* @ pea...

Re: EGT issue

Also, can you post a screenshot of the ENTIRE timing map? It will help with troubleshooting the issue. From the looks of the info you already presented, your motor should be a heaping pile of aluminum at this point. Usually those EGTs are reserved for Rotaries! A SR is supposed to be in the 1600F ra...

Re: S14 SR20DET holding on to closed loop??!?!?!

and the VE just needs a fair amount of trimming in the right side of the map so it doesnt flood the motor So we are talking S14 KA42DE here... title is S14 SR20DET but same issue it seems There is an injection adjust constant in the S14 KA24DE which may be able to be modified to leave K where it is...
