Hey Pete, does nissan ecu/nistune have an easy option to do the timing pull vs temp ?

Re: Pops & Bangs/Retarding Timing

Hi all, just resurrecting this thread as am still looking to make some flames with launch control, I know we cant do negative degrees yet but has anyone managed this with launch control? Cheers I might be crazy, but couldn't you set you cas -10 degrees out, then add 10 degrees to your timing table....

Re: NOS with nistune

Can you use a Nistune FP to define when NOS can spray, or will it only let you switch map based on an input? I was watching a video online of a workshop who setup 2 stage NOS on a laggy SR20. the two stage would activate under a certain rpm and boost, and disconnect when boost was building it would ...

Re: sr20det +300hp

Hi, Nistune sells the Type 3 board for AUD$260. There are a few other install options, but it is well documented on their website : http://nistune.com/equipment-products-type3.php To reach 300 RWHP you will need to change your injectors. Personally i only made 230rwhp with a Blacktop SR20 AND 440CC ...

Re: LS2/LS7 coils and DWELL Time

Just to get back to you, I was able to pull up dwell time on the s13 sr20det after the update. It fluctuates much more than i had anticipated, especially when backing off from WOT seems to spike. Playing with the voltage offset was able to increase the dwell time average, while also increasing the s...

Yes coil reporting time is enabled for this ECU
Hi Matt,

I tried again tonight, still nothing showing.
I did a screen capture, but it seems it did not work :(

The car has AEM smart coils and is missing the standard Igniter - would this cause an issue?

Re: LS2/LS7 coils and DWELL Time

Default dwell time is about 3ms or so using these default tables. Nistune reports the dwell time on the core ECUs we support. The dwell vs volt table can be modified by a percentage to offset the default dwell time to suit different coils Hi Matt, When doing consult data of a s13 sr20det today, dwe...

Re: Is it possible to feed ABS signals into Nistune?

I could be way of here, but the way I figure it the ABS computer would detect when then sensors aren't detecting motion (wheel lock-up) and send signal to the ABS unit to back off the pressure to that brake calliper. now the trick would be reading the input from the front to sensors and comparing th...

Re: BOOST Controll - standard solenoid issue -s15

Hi guys as i remember some nissans could control the boost trough standard solenoid, so i just have question regarding S15, does solenoid works as the boost controller smooth? Every turbo nissan ive encounterd had an overboost or boost control solaniod installed. I am also curious if the ECU could ...
