Re: How to connect via consult ?

Use Conzult or NDS in the meantime for the AC switch operation. I've updated the licence key checking and currently trial wont connect. I've fixed it this morning for the next test release Am I able to connect in trial mode now? Also, is there any way to change MAF in trial mode? I'm experiencing a...

Re: Z32/RB25 - Air Conditioning FICD [PLEASE HELP]

Yeah the solenoid should pull in due to the coil having a magnetic field on it Fiddled around with it a bit more and was able to get it worked by applying 12v & ground and it is confirmed to be working. Tested 12v at the plug with the stock R33 ECU and was surprised that was NOT getting 12v!! I...

Re: Z32/RB25 - Air Conditioning FICD [PLEASE HELP]

Pulled off the IACV & FICD solenoid today. I applied 12v power and ground to the FICD terminals and nothing happened. Should I be seeing something? I know the plunger is all the way out since its not being pushed down by the IACV but shouldn't I still hear a click? I just got some sparking at th...

I decreased them further (and found tables are 32 bytes instead of 16 bytes) in the file attached which you can use
Thanks so much Matt. I will have my tuner use this file.

Re: Z32/RB25 - Air Conditioning FICD [PLEASE HELP]

Matt, the previous videos were of the Z32 ECU. I have now taken a video using the R33 ECU however when using this ECU I did not have the option to display IACV-FICD s/v. http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k584/rbkoukis14/439F609A-AD03-4F88-86D3-B7EFAA957C74-4327-00000199FA1FEBC4_zps4771979c.mp4 Tha...

Extremely high idle [when cold]

Hey Matt & other members, I'm having a bit of an idling problem with running my RB25 on z32 ECU. When cold, the idle will be about 2k RPMS. Engine can fully warm up and idle will still be this high; it takes about 30-45 min for the idle to finally drop down to about 850 (for the ECU to recognize...

Re: TPS idle not being recognized

With Z32 there is no TPS idle switch on the RB25 so you are working with only the variable voltage input. Sometimes TPS needs adjusting Would this explain why idle is extremely high at cold start and takes a LOONG time for the idle to drop down after the engine is warm? Engine will be warm however ...

Re: TPS idle not being recognized

Good find.

I've got a high idle like you're explaining but im not sure if it has to do with something else. I'm running a z32 ECU on S1 RB25DET. I'm not really sure how to correct it.

What coolant temp sensor

Just a thought,
I'm running an RB25DET w/ z32 ECU NIStune type 2 board. To me it seems as tho the CTS should correspond to the ECU, not the motor.

Would you guys run the z32 CTS or RB25?

Re: Z32/RB25 - Air Conditioning FICD [PLEASE HELP]

So your resistor that you are saying should be 2K (2000) is red red black (on a 4-band resistor) is 2, 2, 0. I don't understand. http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k584/rbkoukis14/D986E21F-E371-4EB2-A93A-381F9A4B8CF4-5008-00000117F3EDF867_zps808c4ac7.jpg http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k584/rb...

Re: Z32/RB25 - Air Conditioning FICD [PLEASE HELP]

You can connect still in Trial Mode and connect to consult. For the Z32 ECU. File > select vehicle > Z32 VG30DETT (1990-1992) for that ECU to look at the output Compare this against the R33 ECU (Select Vehicle > ECR33 RB25DET) Saw the video. There is no A/C output from that ECU since the voltage ha...

How to connect via consult ?

Sorry if this isn't in the correct section; please move to appropriate one. I've got a Type 2 board in a z32 ECU PLMS usb consult cable Trial version of NIStune - How does one connect to the ECU? I've tried just about everything and get an error saying something along the lines of "This feature...

Re: Z32/RB25 - Air Conditioning FICD [PLEASE HELP]

That ECU part number is Series 1 R33 RB25DET. So it explains why no FICD output from ECU Does consult report 'Air cond' on the consult view panel when air conditioner is on? Pin 46 is the 'air conditoner switch signal' into the ECU There is a 'Air conditioner relay (A/C cut signal) on pin 9 however...
