Re: NOOB - Help/base map needed for RB20 Skyline GTST with a Holset HY35 440s and Z32

I don't provide base maps, but for the above, you would be best just starting off from factory and resizing MAF to Z32, and then injectors (untick TIM) from stock to 440CC and then aftewards adjust mixtures to get cruise at 14.7:1 (no trim)

It doesn't do this if the LC is unticked?

Re: WGC34 Stagea Tuning

That is strange. I'll try it out on the bench. is it only 128000 which effectively disaables it? So any other RPM is an issue?

It is like it is retarding and then stopping/starting continuously?

Re: z32 nistune with rb25 always on knock maps

The software does not actually change the function of the ECU.... only your settings do. So it is not the latest software release putting your ECU into knock limp mode, there is an issue with the ECU For starters, do not turn off knock filter DTC. All this does is stop the DTC message appearing! It ...

Re: engine cut at 6000rpm

Both logs show MAF dropping sharply (and TP load and injection time follow) but there is no fuel cut

Find out is causing that, but it does not appear to be the tune

Re: engine cut at 6000rpm

Yeah thats not an ECU fuel cut. There is no cut to injection time (where it drops straight down)

Seems like you could have an intake or exhaust restriction, like a pipe or air filter sucking shut, which then drops your MAF/RPM

Re: Z31 non turbo ecu with turbo idle controls

You must use the address file matching your image. Nistune will pick this up from the ECU part number

so if it is FP with 26P0F it will load the 1988 FP address file

If it is 1986 part number, it will load that instead

IF the wrong address file is loaded then maps will not be displayed properly

Re: engine cut at 6000rpm

I cannot see any ECU commanded fuel cut in the log file (where injection time is cut, and TP is set to 0)

What timestamp are you seeing the issue in the log posted?

Re: Z31 non turbo ecu with turbo idle controls

are you saying the tim firmware is available on different z31 ecu's and not the 86? Only developed using 26P00 firmware. From what I can tell, can be used in other 1986-1989 Z31 ECUs without issue but once i go to an idle it just wants to die and buck and spit. look at logs to work out why, is it g...

not normally, but tuners go between so many different tuning packages that they just try to get the job done

Re: Z31 non turbo ecu with turbo idle controls

Z31_VG30ET_1986_19P03_MT.bin This is an error from the looks of things. Fuel map was slightly different to 18P03 but is a non turbo ROM image. I'll remove this from the ROM pack for next release You need feature pack flashed into the board to get the TIM parameter. This is only available in the 26P...

Re: Who's put Honeycomb in the intake? (MAF Straighter)

I did some testing on it when trying out different bung sizes. This was testing 3" intake but with 3, 3.5" and 4" tubes in front of it The straighters made a big difference with idle and stability with 3.5" and 4" tubes but not so much 3". However some customers reported that 3" made a difference on...
