Re: Auto rescaling not just scalers but also maps

Lets say your stock map is setup from 8-80TP. Lets also say that the car hits 80TP on just 11psi. We very likely need to create room on the right side of the map for higher TP values. lets say we want to tune out to 25psi that ends up being something like 120TP. If we want our TP scalers to be nice...

Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

Was looking at a tune for workshop today and noticed that the WC34 0V80F has the 'TPS sensor' turned off. Probably because second throttle body (and TPS sensor not used). So I think this one is for traction control I did that compare flag request and displayed are the tickboxes after updating the so...

Re: R34 Decel Timing and Idle Target RPM

I dont think its timing as usually unburnt fuel goes pop, not from timing. Even at 10 deg BDTC I would not see this causing an issue

Raised problem report on timing maps but probably wont get a look in today

Re: R34 Decel Timing and Idle Target RPM

Popping out of the exhaust during decel is linked to unburnt fuel being passed through . It can be caused by reversion for example, with MAF reporting load on deceleration and ECU injecting fuel and that fuel getting passed through. Not related to timing Yours logs are showing obvious reversion on d...

Re: Idle AFRs w/ 740cc Z32

I've noticed my S14 doesnt like to idle at 14.7:1 either so I do have it running around 13s for a decent idle With popping at the exhaust, what happens is that when the ECU does a fuel cut it uses the latency value. So if you increase latency there is more fuel injected than factory on deceleration ...

Re: Lock Timing

This function is only available with Nissan consult ECUs Earlier Type 1 ECUs will push out consult data, but active tests is not available (and will not be) for these models I suggest follow the factory service manual, disconnect TPS sensor with coolant temp around 80 degC and it should sit on the 1...

Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

Good question. If the use TPS sensor was off, then the VE table may not have been accessed correctly and thrown the fueling out (would need to be checked with a wideband to confirm mixtures were the same as the AFR graph on your last dyno tun) O2 feedback may be fine, since the trims were 0 (STFT/LT...

Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

As before... undocumented. There is a diagnostic input to the ECU. I noted the code references this if the flag is enabled but that is all. It should be left alone Diagnostic RPM control sets target idle RPM value in some ECUs. Default value should be 0 Try going back to factory flag settings. Sound...

Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

Leave it on as that is factory default.

TPS sensor is undocumented. What I found is that when disabled the diagnostic sensor may be used as an input instead

Re: Z32 V4 FP for RB25 Timing going to 0 off idle.

There is a V4 updated ROM image with fixed idle timing tables (compared to V3) and Alpha/N table maxed out (255 values, as opposed to using the copied RB25 maps). This can be used with emulators: Z32_FOR_RB25DET_41P03_MT_v4.bin However the V4 FP version you are using, is only for feature pack boards...

Re: Rb25 rb30 idle motor control

The AAC valve is a solenoid which pulses to a set duty cycle (adjustable by the ECU). As long as the replacement does the same job as the original then it should work in maintaining idle
