z32 Maps Q's

Can you tell me what the difference is between the high gear coefficient 7fc8 and the high gear map 7bc8? How do I turn off the aiv function and map switching? I'd like to keep everything as simple as possible.

If the actual afr's on the higher load area of the fuel map are richer than the commanded afr's the k value is too large. I adjusted the k value 'til it was about right on idle but perhaps it's better to have a closer target AFR on high loads and then just change it on low load area until it seems ...

Re: Startup issue, Will not start without starting fluid.

Hi, I recently installed nistune into an 88 Z31 n/a manual transmission ECU and I am running DSM 450cc injectors with 6.8ohm resistors. The issue I am having is that, the engine will not start with out starting fluid. Once it is started it runs until I shut it off. I tried a different .bin file tha...

Try this one.

That was a binfile I got from the zipfile on the z32 ecu tuning page. Sorry about that.

If you set your k value while the car is idling or stationary it will be too low. While you're driving at 2.5-3k increase the k value until the afr's are in line with the fuel map. Then adjust the latency at idle. Lower the ttpmin table to zero to make sure it's not effecting the pw at idle.

Nissan uses min temp, rpm and tp values to tell/force the ecu to use the idle timing maps. What happens when you adjust the k value and the tp scales the min tp value now ends up being in the 3rd or 4th tp column while stock is just over the first tp column value. The min tp value needs to be change...

You can use a 32k chip and use a switch to force the chip to use the lower 16 for one tune, the upper 16k for another tune.

send a pm to deviouska, he might be able to help for a map swap.

i have placed skyline maf elements into larger piping to expand the flow ability of the sensors. i didn't touch the vq map, i played with the kvalue and fine tuned on the fuel maps.

the blow thru had 2.5 to 3" adaptor front and rear to allow the maf to be connected and the filter directly on the turbo.
