Rb20 backfires on decel then applying throttle
Just tuned a r32 rb20. Only problem now is on the freeway in 5th gear when applying slight throttle after decel. There is a loud POP/backfire.
Has anyone encountered this and how did u fix it?
Thanks
Jez

transient throttle
trying to work out an easy way to understand throttle enrich and accell increase vs TPS. im used to a normal transient style (accell pump) injection where at a set RPM it injects set amount of fuel for set time etc. how can i do this in nistune? i have set all my steady state maps up for really good...

Re: Nistune 0.10 Release
My compare works fine except for the 02 feedback temp says 305 for the compared file or even when comparing it to the same file, 305 no matter whatRomChip200 wrote:10.5/10.6 delta compare doesn't work b/w 2 bins (wrong value displayed for the file compared):

Re: Nistune 0.10 Release
This all makes sense. When i had fc datalogit running i had issues getting the logger to read correctly in relation to the xd 16 gauge. It was the wideband lookup tables were not matched. I never actually watched the xd16 when tuning with niistune i just use the wideband input tracer and watch the l...

Re: Nistune 0.10 Release
Matt, The lookup table are wrong again for Innovate. You said you had changed them a couple of revisions ago, but it looks like you accidentally changed it back? It should be: 0 7.35 1023 22.39 It is currently: 0 8 1023 32 AHA. This maybe why im having issues with differing AFR to my dyno. I just c...

Re: I have a question, Fuel Map with O2 flag
afaik that number is just a rough estimation based on the ECU calculations of K constant and TP etc.
normally i wont look at the target AFR tables, just use the wideband and tune using RAW values

Re: Dyno AFR vs LC1 AFR reading
Cheers PL. How long was the pipe u used and what diameter? I might copy my innovate one and just enlarge it so it sticks further in. Im using an LC1 but i might try my dyno shops LM2 to see if they match. Its alittke scary to be out tuning at 11.5 AFR then on the dyno it reads 12.8AFR. Hard to know ...

Re: Dyno AFR vs LC1 AFR reading
Ok. What type of holder/bung do u use? I thought the innovate holder i use should be perfect as it desgned just for this. Where the dyno holder looks to be a bit of pipe with the sensor in it. I would like to be able to weld a bung in every ones exhaust but its just not practicable for me most of th...

Re: Timings affect on AFRs?
The timing will not affect air drawn in...the engine makes more power from proper timing by more effciently burning the fuel increasing cylinder pressure and forcing the piston down with more force. NA engines aren't at 100% VE all of the time (not even most of the time.) Peak power is peak VE , so...

51P60 burn changes causes erratic behavior
300zx. Tuning in realtime is working fine but when i click BURN the car almost stalls then revs high. It doesnt say burn completed, sometimes it says "check is NVRAM version". And consult disconnects. I turn the car off for a minute to let it settle. Start it up and its fine. Reconnect to ...

Re: Dyno AFR vs LC1 AFR reading
Yes that is correct. I performed a full calibration with the new sensor before dyno tuning. I normally do a free air calibration before each road tune too. Its weird though, cruise and idle AFR are identical between my sensor and the dyno sensor but WOT is different. Im using an innovate tailpipe se...
