Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

That's interesting. One difference I noticed that when this flag was not ticked, when you applied the throttle from idle with the engine cold, it would try to stall. With the flag ticked however it works fine. So I think it's definitely better to leave it at the factory value. P.S. Compare flag chan...

Re: R34 Decel Timing and Idle Target RPM

Thanks Matt, You were right - it was the injector latency. Set this to 1050 and adjusted the VE map to suit, popping on decel is gone now. The tuner did note that the horizontal scale on the decel timing tables seems to be out. And as previously mentioned, at higher RPMs it seems to be locked at 10d...

Re: R34 Decel Timing and Idle Target RPM

Hi Matt, Thanks again, very helpful as always. I can see what you mean about the reversion in the logs. Having read your MAF tuning guide I assume this is caused by having no BOV. I'm not overly interested in putting a BOV back on - I've run no BOV for years and never had this much 'popping' - what ...

R34 Decel Timing and Idle Target RPM

I am trying to solve an issue with my RB25DET NEO tune where there is a significant amount of 'popping' out the exhaust during decel. I'm trying to increase the closed throttle decel timing, but the tables "Idle/Decel Neutral Timing (RPM)" and "Idle/Decel Gear Timing (RPM)" don't...

Lock Timing

Hi Matt,

It would be good if there was a way to lock the timing to a specific value (e.g. 15 degress) so that it can be checked with a timing light.

I tried using the Active Tests - Base Timing option to do this, but it did not seem to do anything (RB30E ECU).

Cheers,

Martin

Compare Flag Values

Hi Matt, I think it would be very useful if when "Compare" is on, when looking at flag constants (such as the DTC filter registers, etc), it showed the compare value of each individual flag, not just the full register value. This would save having to tick on/off different flags or switchin...

Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

OK I have made the following changes (all restored to factory defaults): 1) Set "Use TPS sensor" = ON 2) Set 02 Feedback Control Temperature = 35 3) Set Diagnostic Idle = 0mV Closed loop is now working properly and CEL is not coming on :). I am just wondering with these changes - is my ove...

Re: R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

Thanks Matt, What do you mean by the diagnostic sensor? Is this related to the "Diagnostic Idle RPM Control" value? Because I notice this has been changed from 0mV to 5100mV as well. I've also found that if I enable closed loop (by setting the 02 feedback temp to 35), then the check engine...

R34 "Use TPS sensor" feedback switch

Hi Everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knows what the "Use TPS sensor" flag does in "Feedback Switch 2" for an ER34. It's been turned off on my tune, but my tuner doesn't remember doing it and neither of us know what it does. I'm wondering if I should turn it back on? Cheers...
