Re: Idle/decel timing vs rpm does not work ?

I think going batch mode only due to lack of cpu ressources. I wonder if i could find a faster MCU, pin to pin compatible with the 6802 ... this should help in the high revs zone

Re: 06E905115e vag coil into ca18det as upgrade

From what i gathered, ls1 coils have a positive trigger, while ls2 coils have a negative trigger, so better go for these ones. The ls2 truck coils also have a radiator to cool the integrated igniter. I found the dwell time is 5ms on them, which is long; but it seems they can hold a 1.1mm gap with 1....

Re: Idle/decel timing vs rpm does not work ?

I am not changing ECU, the CA is the oem engine in my car ans S14 are hard to find here. It would cost more than going standalone. We updated the nistune board with a FP code. A lot of good things happened, it looks like some of my values were not in the correct place- i did not upgrade the address ...

Re: Idle/decel timing vs rpm does not work ?

I copied the main fuel and timing map over the knock map, and the knock map is not lit either. That 3-5° pull happens a bit everywhere. I'll upload the log & bin later today . I never had any knock problem. Also i think my gearbox neutral switch is broken, as it never pops on in the panel. May t...

Idle/decel timing vs rpm does not work ?

Hi there, i was investigating why my timing was jumping during load replay (CA18DET), and i found it went out of the timing map definition when the tps switch is closed. After reading the instructions (and the mouse hint) i understood it is supposed to use the idle/Deceleration Timing vs rpm map. Bu...

Re: Nistune 0.10.21 Release

the thing is that i did not do anything else than watching a tune. No changes at all, just browsing. Maybe you could allow "unlimited" browsing and no mods on the trial version, or start the timer when the first mod is done ? I had no connexion to nistune hardware obviously and made no cha...

Re: Nistune 0.10.21 Release

Also the vertical scrollers dont work on the left menu. If i grab one and go down, it does not move and the menu does not scroll. The screen is rotated though so maybe it is related ? To see the rest of the menu i have to enlarge the main window.

Re: Nistune 0.10.21 Release

hi, i just tried that version on my work computer and entered trial/trial to test. It expired within maybe 10 minutes then closed. Using winXP 32 bits.

Is that normal behavior ? I was just looking at some maps found in the type1 section.

Re: Will Nistune allow me to control my fans??

Hi matt, any chance to get that working on type 1 boards (ca18det) ? My thermostatic switch does not work correctly anymore and its holder is leaking, i would really like to bin the whole thing if i can control fan with ECU :D

Re: VL Speed Limiter-For those who want it

the type1 board fits the CA18, and this is type1 section. Sorry about that, but maybe you should change the title for "RB30 speed limiter" instead of just "VL" ? It may prevent further misunderstandings.

Re: VL Speed Limiter-For those who want it

I did hit the speed limiter on mine, as it is a 44Fx ECU and its code (and maybe memory mapping) is slightly different from the 39Fx code and the speed limiter option on nisture does not work with it. It happens around 224km/h real, which is about 240km/h shown on the dash. It is not a cut, it just ...

Re: wtf my car is leaning out now after 5500 rpm??

You have to multiply injector duty by 2 to get the correct value, as it is the opening time and injectors opens twice .

Check you fuel filter / fuel pump sock.

Re: Injector Capatability

Streetbike has run some 1600s for some time. But when latency is high, it becomes a pain to map. Also, note that running e85 requires new fuel lines. The same streetbike searched for a lot of time why he had problems with fueling ... its fuel lines were collapsing on themselves. It is not that much ...
