Which is the right PMAS HPX Maf to go with the nistune tables?
Hey all, so im probably going to be maxing out my lighting MAF here very shortly, i plan to up the boost soon and am already hitting 4.9 volts in my car. It is in a blow through setup in 3.5 piping. I understand i need to use the PMAS HPX maf however in browsing their site i see a couple options. Th...

Re: VH45de Type 3 ecu issue
Thanks Matt, Just to confirm, upload and burn the tune you fixed to the ecu using my existing address file. Then close and reopen nistune using the new address file you posted, there i should be able to make the changes to the redline rpm. Also noticed you added the DTC flag filter! Big thanks on th...

Re: VH45de Type 3 ecu issue
bin file attached.
Another curious thing to note.
There are 2 rev limits you can set, initially i set them both at 3500 rpm until i was sure it was working.
Consequently with both Rev limits set at 3500 it seems like i can rev all the way through to 7000.

Re: VH45de Type 3 ecu issue
Yep, That did it for the TP. Thank you sir! I had also got the timing issue resolved, the timing offsets where missing in the address file. I went ahead and added the correct timing offset to the address file and saved it with a different name it was basically the same as the 90-93 version. capture ...

VH45de Type 3 ecu issue
Hey Matt per my email. Background Vortech Supercharged Vh45de in s14 running for like 15 years recently my ecu went bad and i switched from a 8bit ecu to a 16 bit ecu type 3 board. The previous setup was a moates ostritch on an 8bit ecu, the ecu went bad for some reason and i was able to buy a 16 bi...

Re: Supercharged vh45de missing timing
I tried messing with each one individual, such as lowering the RPM etc, didn't do anything finally I zeroed out every single one and voila my timing is back. DTC code still present.
Log if your curios, I leaned out the map a bit too.

Re: Supercharged vh45de missing timing
Yea I had added 2 0r 3 degrees on that run up top to test that’s why the additional timing towards red line. I guess I’ll order some knock sensors plus they are a pin to get to in this engine lol. In the mean time if I set the knock thresholds to 0 will that stop it?

Supercharged vh45de missing timing
Hey Matt So my car is a s14 with a supercharged vh45de, ive been running your software for a few years now on a moates ostritch. Long story short I spun a rod bearing a few years ago and the car sat, I replaced the motor this past week and went out and did some pulls. Nothing at all has changed same...

Supercharged VH45DE w/porsche Cayanne intake mani dyno
So i had this vh45de in my s14 with a super charger and heard that a porsche cayenne intake manifold had the same port spacing. So i went from this... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v344/gsracer/uhoh/100_1083.jpg made these http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v344/gsracer/intake%20manifold/a6b112da...

Re: Can some one give me a general run down on building a vq map
Can you post the vq map you built for the hpx in a 4inch tube just for comparison. heres what I've been playing with, throughout just sheer trial and error. This is a sheer guess on my part based on observed a/f against maf voltage and raising and vq look ups. This got the car drivable n/a not on bo...
