Re: Auxiliary Injector control
If its not a feature of the factory ECU, nistune can't control it, so that includes the addition water/meth injection.

30 minute or less labour charge from any electrical repair shop (TV/Video/HiFi).
If it takes them longer than 30 minutes with proper desolder tools they're doing it wrong.
If you're in Sydney i could look at it for you as i have desoldering tools that i use for installing boards.

Re: fuel tune problems-N15 Almera SR20DE
Factory O2 sensor is SUPPOSED to jump rapidly between 0-0.8v ,that shows the ECU is trimming the mixture between rich (over 0.6v) and lean (below 0.4v). The factory sensor is narrowband, not wide band so it will not give direct AFR numbers, only indicate rich or lean.

Re: O2 sensor type for Nistuned Z31 88 Turbo ECU
No, the type of sensor you have relies on resistance changes rather than voltage changes.
You can still run a wideband and interface it with nistune, you just can't use it to replace or simulate the factory narrowband sensor.

Re: O2 sensor type for Nistuned Z31 88 Turbo ECU
Unfortunately, due to the design of the Titania based sensors, a normal 0-1v narrowband simulated output will *not* work with your ECU. You should disable O2 feedback or retain the factory sensor in another bung on the front pipe.

Interested to see some updated results. What RPM are you switching the cams at ?
Do you have a trace of the AFR ?

GTI-R rev limiter after idling for extended period
I read this in a thread a few weeks back and Matt mentioned he wasn't able to figure out where in the code this occurred for the Silvia. After allowing the car to idle for a few minutes a very low rev limiter of ~2krpm is imposed no matter how much throttle is applied. Switching the car off and back...

Re: Problem connecting
Some USB to Serial converters are also pretty bad news. Ones based on the FTDI chipset are usually the most compatible or have the least issues. Also make sure you're set to the right COM port. USB to serial converters often pick a high com port like 5 rather than the normal defaults of 1 or 2 for e...

Re: Speed Desnity??
Reytec is TOMEI's version of the PowerFC as far as i'm aware. Factory type casing and plug, but with redesigned hardware inside, that is similar, but removes those certain limitations. Version of the PowerFC such as the DJetro or whatever they are that use MAP instead of AFM were made but i don't kn...

Re: Speed Desnity??
Interesting subject. Tomei were able to get MAP sensor, IAT sensor, Barometric sensor to work with stock GTR ECU and it works. Same with SR20DET ECU. Also they have base ROM data for SR, RB26 that you can download to load onto their ECU's. On the stock ECU? or on an ECU fitted to the stock casing (...

Re: Data Request: SR20VE ECU CPU pinout
Definitnely that's a step forwards and will open up a bigger market with those parts. I'll just keep working on what i'm working on then. Cheers Matt. If you get to a point where the OBD-II stuff is all up and running and you have some time ( HAHAHA ) let me know as i have some spare VE ECUs. As a s...

Re: Data Request: SR20VE ECU CPU pinout
Those chips are ASIC (application specific intergrated circuit) so they dont mean anything They would be based from the 7790 processors but in a different package. The board which I have here requires many resistors to be swapped over and has a Xilinx chip on there to do whatever logic is required ...

Re: Its possible to get no rev limiter or over 8000rpms
I think that on the last released version Matt was able to "correct" that feature for some boards... not sure wich ones though... According to a post by Matt himself, that isn't the case. Nistune never has supported it (which i thought it did for the type3) and he goes on to say in anothe...
