Re: Fake Z32 or non genuine Z32

Many thanks buddy, have found how to spot one, my query isw what and how is the fake bad.

I have read it can run rich at mid to top end. More output noise, but how does that effect mapping and performance and figures really.

Fake Z32 or non genuine Z32

Hi, Not sure if anyone can help. I purchases a Z32 here in the UK, being told it was a genuine z32 afm, being assure it was I bought it as it was a good price. It turned out to be too good to be true, and was indeed a fake. No nissan tags, no orange stickers, etc etc. Had torex screws, which are not...

Re: Innovate LC1 vc AEM Uego

Thanks mate, they both seem to come in at a similar price, so I can go for either, but if the AEM is easier and simple to work with it actually works out cheaper.

Re: Innovate LC1 vc AEM Uego

I have read plenty of pages, and I think it comes fdown to prefernece they both seem to be on par. Some say LC1 require calibration often, but then some say its more Accurate. Some say the UEGO is more reliable. I guess its a case of microsoft or Apple dilema. None the less, I need it tow work along...

Innovate LC1 vc AEM Uego

Seeing as I have Nistune, and I have another post about the innovate, a good deal has come up for the AEM at a good price.

Now, how good are these with Nistune.

It does have a Rs232 connection which is the important bit I beleive?

Re: Innovative X16 vs Innovative DB Wideband

If you mean XD16. Both DB and XD are the gauges that come with the LC-1 WB controller kits. It's actually the LC-1 output that you plug in to logworks/Nistune Laptop to datalog. you don't actually need an xd or db at all. For all intensive purposes, the datalogging is identical with both kits. IMO:...

Innovative X16 vs Innovative DB Wideband

I am contemplating on getting a wideband seeing whilst I await my nistune.

Now I have come across both, I beleive the DB is better for the wallet, and most likely do the job, but wonder, if the X16 is worth wile for the logging capabilities?

Any ideas anyone

Re: AFM Advice - Z32 Alternatives

You can also use the R32/33 AFM's if you only have a mild SR. They're good to a bit over 200rwkw (measured on Dyno Dynamics). I tend to use these on the local SR20DE+T jobs. I know people have also used the VQ45 AFM (larger dia) but the jury is still out as to whether they will actually read to a h...

AFM Advice - Z32 Alternatives

Now, I know most peeps go for the Z32, and in the UK one of the resident mappers has used the Z32 in their set maps. Since I am going to be mapping via Nistune, In tersm of ease, the commonality of the z32 makes knowledge in its instalation fairly easy? I have heard of the QXX afms. Any other AFM's ...

Intro

Just saw an intro so thought I would do the same. I have posted on here already, and started reading up and trying to follow threads carefully. I am from London, UK. I own a 200sx S14a SR20DET. I recently acqired a Nistune, which I have sent off to Matt, as it was the wrong one (my fault). I am a no...

Re: Type 3 vs Type 4

Also, is teh USB Consult the same from the Type 3 to the Type 4? Yes. The USB Data cable and the Consult Plug itself is the same for the S14 and S14a. The difference between Type 3 and 4 ist the printed circuit board IN the ecu not the connector/connection from the laptop to the ecu. Thanks mate.
