Nistune temp reading on maps
Ok I have recently noticed something (don't know if it's been on-going or not, I just happened to notice it the other day when looking around the maps while bored at work). My consult gauge reading for engine coolant temp is correctly reading (Nistune displays correct temp), but on temp based maps (...

Re: Timings affect on AFRs?
Number 2 is wrong....at any given load, an engine can only pull so much air, it's a constant other than atmospheric conditions. It says nothing about load. If timing isn't optimal in a cell (too retarded), then wouldn't making timing optimal in that cell produce more power and therefore suck in mor...

Re: Timings affect on AFRs?
I meant constant as in say 200cfm max. You won't get more than that by changing timing or fueling or anything else. Of course it's continously variable but it won't change based on afr or timing.

Re: LC1 Error Code 8 (8 LED flashes)
Very good info...where did you get the beta firmware, as I have the same issues I flog the car and kill the WB...my fix has been to disable stock o2 completely but I still lose WB reading when the sensor shuts down...I've just dealt with it for now but if this works that will be awesome.

Re: 3-way switch from stock O2 sensor to LC-1 Analog Output
A proper working switch should have no resistance unless it has a poor connection or corrosion. You also shouldn't see a difference in performance unless the o2s are in different locations then you may see a small difference.

Re: Type 1 S13 CA18DET Maps highlight not correct
Would like to add that KA s13 maps highlighting aren't correct. Both fuel maps (regular and knock) are always highlighted, and neither timing map is ever highlighted.
Not a big deal car is parked until spring but figured I'd chime in for a future fix. Thanks.

Re: Issues with "TPS idle" - S13 ka24de ECU
I didn't know the s13 ka didn't have knock maps...I leave those stock anyways but is there a way you can disable those or remove them for ease of use? That comment also answered my next question... I heard about the new turn on CEL when knock maps being accessed...guess I don't have to worry about t...

Re: wideband lookups
Does that explain why I can't get my LC-1 to connect after installing the update? If it does, I agree something isn't looking up correctly Excuse my lack of knowledge I just know that it used to work and now it's not in new version.

Very nice very impressive
I once saw that KITT scanner...I don't remember where but it is available lol. I think it would be awesome to hook that up to the alarm...since I have the voice module it would be pretty sweet lol.

Re: recommended laptop and software
Yes it works, I got an EEE PC specifically for tuning...I can fit it in my glovebox if needs be. The only thing is the screen res is only 1024x600 so it's hard to fit a lot of info, let alone see it if it's not close to you.
