Re: Fusion Motortsport - 477hp GTi-R

Only 4-5 degrees timing at peak torque? What kind of fuel are you running, pump gas? With E85 I can run 22 degrees timing on 18psi so around 1.20 bar. I plan on running 1.6 bar with around 20-22 degrees timing with E85...Crank that timing up if you have good enough fuel.

Re: Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power

Can I find this answer form my datalog or do I have to try and visually see this(live time) under boost?

Re: Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power

I looked at some old datalog pulls I did on about 18-19psi on my 62mm turbo. MAF voltage is hitting as high as 7.1V!!! And the TP Load Index only hits a peak of around 100 and its scaled to 120. Which is perfect since I plan on pushing around 24psi soon. I am running around 22 degrees timing minimum...

Re: 3-way switch from stock O2 sensor to LC-1 Analog Output

Yes the stock O2 is about 12-16 inches from the turbine and the LC-1 is about 24-30 inches from the turbine. As the exhaust travels through the piping it continues to react(Plug-Flow Reactor Model) so technically it will be different. Enough to show up on a gauge? Maybe....We shall find out. Im also...

Re: LC-1 Narrowband Simulation on ECU

Hmmmm. My stock O2 feedback works fine and it bounces back and forth while cruising. Even then I am only getting 14mpg on E85 and it stalls out quite a bit and has troubles running after it starts. The narrowband simulation from the LC1 is as follows: 1.1V = 14 A/F Ratio 0.1V = 15 A/F Ratio Or the o...

3-way switch from stock O2 sensor to LC-1 Analog Output

I am planning on putting a 3 way switch in under the dash where I can switch from the stock O2 sensor to the LC-1 narrowband analog 1 output(yellow wire) to see if I can notice differences while driving and tuning. Do you see any issues with running a 3 way switch to choose the signal input? Just wo...

Re: Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power

I rescaled the TP load scales on the top of the fuel and timing maps and I am not going outside of it even on 20psi. I understand the need to rescale that part. I believe I am maxing out the stock MAF though. I am in the 6V+ region. Is the stock MAF really calibrated from 1.5-6.5V? Do you rescale it...

Rescaling stocm MAF to make more power

88n/a Z31 16bit ECU, Type 1 Board, Stock Z31 MAF. The stock MAF can do around 350whp. People have rescaled them somehow in order to make 450whp. The stock MAF is said to operate in a voltage range of 1.5-6.5V. What is the proper way to do this? Just change the values on the MAF translation table? An...

Re: LC-1 Narrowband Simulation on ECU

Im actually going to be doing exactly this in about 2 hours today. Just find the pin at the ECU that is the O2 sensor signal, and do a continuity check from that wire at the ECU to the wires at the O2 sensor harness under the hood. You should be able to figure out which one is ground with the contin...

Re: Latency and the effects on Decel fuel cut

Not venom injectors. I bought them from "Osidetiger" and they were flow tested within 1% of each other. They appear to be some sort of modified stock injector. With a soldering iron, they burned out the last number or 2 on every injector so that the customer cannot see the entire number an...

Re: Latency and the effects on Decel fuel cut

The thing is, when I lower latency, it runs lean in all areas of part throttle while trying to drive. Not just TTPMin. I tried to raise this value at idle to acheive exactly what you are saying. I could raise the areas higher in the rpm which would probably cure it, however, I would not have fuel cu...

Re: Latency and the effects on Decel fuel cut

I lowered my TTPmin WAY down to a value of 1 from 1600rpm up, and decel fuel cut seems to be working much better now. But I still notice the relationship when I decrease latency down it works much better. However, these injectors want large Latency values. I am trying to get away with around 1100 no...

Re: Latency and the effects on Decel fuel cut

I will try and get some logs for you. I also noticed it cuts fuel completely as it should when the engine is cold. As it warms up, the wideband starts revealing much richer conditions when the throttle is released. Very confused at this point.

Latency and the effects on Decel fuel cut

Z31 88N/A 16 Bit ecu. Running 660cc high impedance top feed injectors, but 37psi, making them 612cc, and on E85 so essentially they are around 460-490cc. Only way to get it to run OK, is with a K=360 and Latency > 1200 When I let off the gas, I do not achieve fuel cut when the TPS is OFF on decelera...

Modifying fuel & timing map issues, and more

I am running a type 1 board on a 88n/a Z31 ecu. I have been tuning and it is working as it should with the exception that on the timing and fuel table I can ONLY change "raw values" and not filtered values or target air/fuels etc. My second issue is I am getting a notice saying I need to d...
