Re: Bluetooth connection speeds higher than 9600

Ah, I see. As far as I can tell, it's fine in streaming mode. The log viewer shows nice smooth graphs in streaming mode but in tuner mode the graphs are stepped quite a bit. The packet sizing and latency do make sense. I'll see if I can find any settings on the bluetooth module that might help speed...

Bluetooth connection speeds higher than 9600

Hi Matt, and everyone else... I'll be honest, I haven't done a whole lot of searching on this so flame me if I deserve it. I'm playing around with using a Roving Networks rs-41 bluetooth module as the basis for a dedicated bluetooth consult adapter. There appear to be two connection speed parameters...

Q45 Ecu complatibility progress?

Matt, I ran across a thread on nicoclub where there was talk of modifying the stock q45 rom to fit in the Nistune code so a stock Type 2 board could be used in place of an emulator. Has there been any progress on this? I might have my swap running in the next couple of months and I'd love to not wor...

O2 feedback switch doesnt seem to work

Matt, It seems that the last couple of versions of Nistune have this problem. When I go to feedback switch and check all the boxes to turn off the feedback (FF) it doesnt seem to save the changes. When I reopen the window all the settings are back to their normal state. Also, why did you change it t...

Is it easy/possible to install a programmed eprom with a stock image on it to verify the ecu runs?

Matt, Just tested the ecu one more time. Both lights come on and stay on. No fuel pump at any point and the injectors/coil dont do anything when cranking. I'll attach pics of the ecu. As far as I know the ecu has not been touched by anyone but myself. No jumpers were touched as far asI know. I'll ha...

TTP MAx scales seem off

MAtt, I've been doing some playing around and it appears the ttp max scales use the same scaling as the ttp min. You have the scales for ttp max set to go the full rpm range but it appears they should be for the lower rpms just like the ttp min. I verified this by changing the cells in the correct a...

Problem getting connected to 84T ecu.

Matt, I'm trying to get connected to Nicks 84T ecu. The laptop found the hardware just fine and I installed it using the drivers listed under the Nistune directory. It appears as if the ecu is not running correctly as the fuel pump is not coming on at all. When I try to connect to the ecu via usb co...

I'm not sure if this is the case but it sounds like the ecu might use a seperate timing table for neutral and non-neutral idle timing on the automatic. If you can find the non-neutral table I would imagine you could make it match the neutral table and get rid of the timing change.

Yeah I'm aware of that one. Whatever is going on seems to be independant of any of the warmup maps ive seen. It doesnt work like the warm up maps where it adds X amount of timing. It basically sets the timing to 15 regardless of the rpm/tp thats on the timing map. Very odd but Ive encountered it now...

Timing going to 15btdc during warm up?

Matt or anyone who has some experience with the ecu code. I've noticed that on both my 88 Z31 ecu and my 92 M30 ecu there seems to be a point during warmup where the timing goes to 15 degrees for a certain range of temps. Once the car goes above a certain temp the timing comes back to normal. This i...

Updates to M30 adr file.

MAtt,
I've been playing with the m30 ecu and I think I've found some corrected addresses.

Idle timing should be
IDLE_TIMING,&H76f0,16,1,16,1,Idle Ignition Timing

and idle rpm should be
IDLE_SPEED,&H7E60,16,1,16,1,Idle speed vs temp

On a related note...I tried using the Consut timing offset function in the address file to offset the timing value. I wasnt able to get it to make any change. I copied the line of text from the vh45 adr file into the m30 file.
