Re: S14 SR20DET rich throttle / idle recovery

Although I'm still using factory 370cc injecors on my own car, But all of my customer's SR, usually change to 740cc injectors, it works fine on both S13 SR20DET early model and late model. Same method also works fine on CA18DET engine control with S14 early model ECU + GTR35 injectors. It sounds goo...

Re: S14 SR20DET rich throttle / idle recovery

Here is my own S14 Zenki throttle enrichment, hear the difference between S14 and S15 factory tune on same engine same cat back. 100% factory tune untouch , fully warm up (Hear the popping ?? please note that still using DET smaller throttle boby) https://youtu.be/W-vjfMNx7ZY S14 JDM Zenki ECU with ...

Re: S14 SR20DET rich throttle / idle recovery

In the Throttle Enrichment, If target tune is for S14 ECU. Only 4 maps need to adjust. Copy the following maps data from S15 91F08 ecu Async MAF Factor Decel Loss MAF Scale down the following maps by injector size Async TPS Factor Async TPS Cut Factor Example for Async TPS Factor S15 91F08 ECU 107 8...

Re: S14 SR20DET rich throttle / idle recovery

Your vented BOV causing idle recovery problem.
ditch it and change to recirculate type BOV, idle recovery problem sloved.

Re: S14 SR20DET rich throttle / idle recovery

I'm 100% sure it is throttle enrichment not tuning right with the 740cc injectors. I used to have same issue with 740cc, but now, I know how to tune right. Please note that I'm using standard ENT files, not Feature Pack base. Here is the result, transplant some of the maps from S15 91F08 ECU , scale...

Re: CA18DET deceleration issues

most of my tuned CA18 do the same, when let off throttle, not just R35 550cc injectos, AFR runs into rich to around 13s before going to 22, R32 444cc do the same thing, no matter how I try different setting, the off throttle fuel cut always delay a hair, what I thought is the injected fuel on the ru...

what injector latency on your setting , me and my customers are running the same injectors, usually 850ms works fine.

Re: FTS behaviour on CA18DET/Type 1 Board

That is a common problem on CA18DET The ECU mainboard between 44FXX and 39FXX is different, 44FXX ECU is non Anti Pollution ECU, does not have 02 control (does not produce 0.32V 02 signal), it require 4 pin AFM. 39FXX ECU is Anti Pollution ECU, it has 02 control, require 3 pin AFM, it will produce a...

Re: AFR very sensitive to electric load

Now, after small adjustment on the latency, car idle fine no matter front light and / or A/C on.
Confirmed that AFM signal ground is connected to sensor ground within the ecu.

Re: AFR very sensitive to electric load

Hi Matt, Bingo .... You are totally correct, the signal ground is short with chassis ground. I have measure the resistant of the sensor ground to the chassis ground, found out it is 0 resistant. but guess what, it is the 12V ground of the Z32 AFM was connected to signal ground (NOT done by me), so I...

Re: Tuned my S14, Ignition map?!

As I see, you have the timing transistion between TP63 to TP70 is a deep slope, timing map is not smooth. And the timing under 4,000 rpm , on vacuum stage, it seems too much timing, What AFM ? different AFM will have different result on map walking. On which TP at mid rev range, your engine seeing 0...

Re: AFR very sensitive to electric load

This video is intent to taken for my customer, thats why I speak our own langauge. The fuse I remove is No.34 fuse in FSM, after checking FSM, it is the power supply for MAIN, MAF, CAS, IGN/SG, That is power supply for ECCS Relay, MAF, CAS, If I remove the fuse, the engine should be die at once, but...

Re: AFR very sensitive to electric load

Download the CSV and open it, you will see how far the AFR jump.
Earth point check twice with no resistant to battery ground (good connection), but found an interesting error on power supply, I think this cause the ECU to act strange behaviour. uploading video to youtube.
