Re: who has the highest horsepower nissan on nistune?

Hmm,

my highest horsepower SR20DET so far is 621hp/623nm at flywheel.

Then there are some higher power Skylines and Z32 but it much easier with 6 cylinders so those don't count. :)

Re: Controlling boost via the ECU and a 3-port solenoid?

You should be able to do it with some of them. The only proven one is S15. My mate's car is running with boost control via factory solenoid and it works quite well. It IS a little fiddly to set up - but if you know your stuff it's not hard. You need to adjust the sizes of the factory bleed jets to ...

Re: TTP max

If resizing the injectors should get set to 255. What do they look like with standard bin file? I think you should add some logic, if old value = 255 then new value = 255, otherwise rescale.. I often use low values in first two or three cells of TTPMAX, to prevent "MAF overshoot" when qui...

Re: E85 basics

You've gotta be careful when tuning AFR's with E85 because stoichiometric is around 9.7:1. You want 8.2 - 8.3:1 AFR at full load. But your wideband needs to be set up for this - it'll use stoichiometric of 14.7:1 unless you tell it otherwise. So it'll show 12.35 AFR when in reality it's 8.2. Confus...

Re: R32 RB26 running witout MAF or only one MAF

Yeah it will work. You can do the same for lambdas as well, so you only need one..

One Z32 maf is a bit sucking though because it measures only 500hp or so..

I have tuned severan single turbo RB's with the Ford Lightning MAF. It works very well even if mounted almost directly to the turbo intake.

Re: GTR Standard Boost Control

I haven't really checked this with an oscilloscope or anything, but I'm 99% sure that most Nissans have just on/off boost solenoid.. Z32 surely has it this way, it's normally full boost but if enough detonation is detected it switches to lower boost. ECR33 seems to have some rpm limit where full boo...

If you are looking at wideband AFR, you can tune to similar values as gasoline.. 14.7 idle, 12 at boost. Perhaps a little bit leaner on boost, like 12.5-13 even..

Re: [CA18DET] goes lean when switching to batchfire

Have you logged you AFM voltage? If the AFM is too close to the turbo, it might create some turbulance etc. It's often worst at the point where turbo is just starting to spool up, then works ok when full boost..

Re: R34 GT-R

If it is simple scrambling with some address/data lines swapped, you can build your own "unscrambler" which simply switches the lines back to where they belong. Not very easy but can be done. :)

Is this also the case with 22680 prefix on AFMs then? Should we expect 2268M?
I can't remember, it was some time ago.. It might be that it only had "30P00" and no prefix?

Re: R34 GT-R

What's the problem in using R32 ECU anyway? Those are easily available and work really well, just a few wires to swap. You need a wire for TPS idle switch, and consult clock is missing too.. Consult is easy to fix by swapping the "check" signal to clock pin. Even the multifunction display ...

I just built this: :) http://zuik.org/cache/Autot/NissanOsat/640x480-DSCN0427.JPG It has a PIC doing CAS simulation, can do 4 or 6cyl... Six+six leds show ignition and injection pulses, a few switches to simulate start/neutral/powersteering inputs, some status leds, a potentiometer for TPS/MAF simul...

Re: Pics - How to spot a Z32 AFM copy

Interesting! Mine has no nissan badge, but has protective/flow stabilizing mesh on both sides of it. p/n 22680-30P00, orange sticker. All Z32 AFMs don't have the Nissan badge for some reason.. But just a look at the measuring wires will tell you if it's original or not. ALL Genuine factory parts ha...

Re: CA18DET Dwell values

The std dwell for the CA coils is 2 ms and I need to increase this to around 5 ms. Just multiply each value by 2.5* and it should be fine. Thanks. However I don't know how I will go with some of the numbers. The table will only accept a value range up to FF (hex) or 255 (dec) Oh yeah, at high RPM i...
