CA18DET Variable Intake Solenoid Table

Hello everyone,

I am running the 8 port CA18 and am trying to make use of the butterfly valves but do not see the variable intake solenoid table in my options. I have the latest updates and am using feature pack 1. Is there a specific way to gain access to this table?

Re: Need a second opinion/look at cruise log....

Had a feeling that maybe they decided to just leave the switch out, but I appreciate the clarification....Maybe I will look into wiring it up. The 200SX CA18DET FSM I have has the neutral switch going to an inhibitor relay, but I think that is for the auto trans...does the manual trans neutral switc...

Re: Need a second opinion/look at cruise log....

So I went to go about trying to wire up the neutral safety switch and noticed the wiring specialties PRO harness I have does not come with a neutral safety switch harness at all so I emailed them asking why they decided to leave it out and they basically said it doesn't have any significance toward ...

Re: Need a second opinion/look at cruise log....

Thanks for the quick reply Matt, you've been very helpful. So I think my best bet is going to be fixing that neutral switch and getting that BOV recirculating to low pressure. I basically was just working with what I already had available to me, but this makes to much sense to not fix... Then I will...

Need a second opinion/look at cruise log....

Hello everyone, Here are my engine specs: CA18DET (using Feature Pack 1) 800cc Deatschwerks low impedence injectors (currently set to 800us) Z32 MAF Sensor (authentic) HKS SSQV Recirculated BOV So I have some questions about the current tune I am working on and was hoping someone could take a look a...

Injector latency from DATA sheet...

Hello everyone, so I am finally getting to tuning this 1989 Nissan 240sx, the engine(CA18DET running Nistune) has 800cc deatschwerks low impedence injectors installed. I have attached the data sheet for the injectors in this post. Basically I have reached out to deatschwerks multiple times trying to...

CA18DET trying to make sense of recent log

hey guys, wondering if someone can take a look at a log i made. basically i am having issues with idle on my ca18det, last time i looked at the vehicle i thought it might be an issue with the TPS sensor but im not sure. Big things im noticing are when warmed up the car starts fine and sits at 10 deg...

Re: Feature pack update. Now it wont start...?

is there any reason why nistune would turn the TPS idle switch off? maybe while its at idle warm up or maybe compensating for idle while warming up? just weird it seems that all the parameters are fine with the TPS, just something wrong with the either the communication between TPS and nistune or ni...

Re: Feature pack update. Now it wont start...?

Will most likely try to reinstall nistune and both rom packs. As far as I understand the TPS has a variable input as well as an idle switch. So as of right now, with the engine off and nistune consult plugged in I get a TPS idle red light(pedal depressed) within nistune, with the engine running(cold...

Re: Feature pack update. Now it wont start...?

thanks for the help , after multiple tries and persistence I did get this to work. I remember reading something about this in the feature pack V1 documentation. Anyhow something is wrong with nistune. I received multiple error messages when importing my standard map over the FP map, not sure why, bu...

Feature pack update. Now it wont start...?

Just recently updated my CA18DET nistune type 1 ECU to the new feature pack, I had the vehicle running with a high idle prior to getting the ECU updated to the FP. After that i flashed the ECU with the same ROM and now it will not start. Am i missing something? Do i need to make a change to the ROM ...

Re: Runs with AFM unplugged.

Did a continuity test on my current TPS idle switch and found it was intermittent with throttle closed and no continuity WOT. Did the same thing on another used one I had laying around, this time I found continuity was constant with closed throttle and went away WOT. So this may explain the high idl...

Re: Runs with AFM unplugged.

So I opened Nistune and used the consult gauge to check the TPS parameters, with the engine off and ignition switched to on I am getting the red light for "TPS idle" and when I use throttle it goes away. Also the TPS is 0.46 (closed) and 4.26 (WOT). With my current understanding I would sa...
